She is a TOP Grade artist of classical & Light and Hindustani Light Music (Geet, Ghazal & Bhajan) Artist of AIR/DD, New Delhi, and a disciple of Late Shri M. S. Balasubrahmanya Sharma. She is the recipient of President’s Award in the All India Radio Competitions and of “Surmani” title from the Sur Singar Samsad of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Along with many international performances, she has the unique distinction of performing at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, on occasion of the Centenary Celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi, in the presence of dignitaries like Lord Mountbatten, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Indian High Commissioner and several other ambassadors and dignitaries from about twenty five countries,
